Good eyewear signage answers the next customer question with as few words as possible. It should help navigation, pricing, or product understanding without turning the display into a wall of instructions.
Prioritize the essentials
- category name
- reader-power organization where applicable
- price or pricing rule
- verified product features only when useful
Use hierarchy
The largest text should identify the category or most important instruction. Secondary information should be smaller and placed where the customer needs it.
Avoid unsupported claims
Do not describe ordinary sunglasses as safety or certified protective eyewear unless the specific product supports that claim. Do not turn reader signage into medical advice.
Test at normal distance
Stand where the customer stands. If the sign requires leaning in or reading a paragraph before shopping can begin, simplify it.
