Pharmacy chains should use a small number of approved display tiers instead of forcing one fixture size across every location.
Countertop tier works when
- the store is lower volume
- front-end space is constrained
- the program is a pilot or secondary location
Floor tier works when
- reader-power breadth needs more positions
- the store has proven repeat demand
- sunglasses are also meaningful
- the location has reliable service and replenishment
Standardize the decision rule
Use store volume, stockouts, reorders, customer demographics, and footprint to assign fixture tiers. The method can be standardized while the result differs by store.
